  "summary": "This study evaluated a topical anaesthetic and ketoprofen, alone and combined, on dehorning pain in Holstein-Friesian calves. The topical anaesthetic significantly reduced pain sensitivity, but adding ketoprofen showed no enhanced effect. The cut skin edge was more sensitive than the peri-wound area.",
