temperatures, or if frosts are imminent
Spray Drift Restraints
Do Not apply by aircraft when tank mixed with Nufarm galaxy.
Specific definitions for terms used in this section of the label can be found at
www.apvma.gov.au/spraydrift
DO NOT allow bystanders to come into contact with the spray cloud.
DO NOT apply in a manner that may cause an unacceptable impact to native
vegetation, agricultural crops, landscaped gardens and aquaculture production, or
cause contamination of
plant or livestock commodities, outside the application site from spray drift. The buffer
zones in the relevant buffer zone tables below provide guidance but may not be
sufficient in all
situations. Wherever possible, correctly use application equipment designed to reduce
spray drift and apply when the wind direction is away from these sensitive areas.
DO NOT apply unless the wind speed is between 3 and 20 kilometres per hour at the
application site during the time of application.
DO NOT apply if there are hazardous surface temperature inversion conditions present
at the application site during the time of application. Surface temperature inversion
conditions
exist most evenings one to two hours before sunset and persist until one to two hours
after sunrise.
Boom Sprayers
DO NOT apply by a boom sprayer unless the following requirements are met:
• Spray droplets are not smaller than a COARSE spray droplet size category
Minimum distances between the application site and downwind sensitive areas(see
‘Mandatory buffer zones’ section of the following table titled ‘Buffer zones for boom
sprayers’) are observed.Page 2

General GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Directions: Mixing
To ensure even mixing, half fill spray tank with clean water and add the required amount
of Nufarm Bromicide® MA. Agitate thoroughly, then add the remainder of water. Agitate
again before spraying commences.
When mixed with Nufarm Associate® or Nufarm Kamba® 750, DO NOT apply to cereals
undersown with lucerne.
DO NOT apply tank mixes with Nufarm Galaxy® in oats.
Observe all instructions on the mixture partner label. As formulations of other
manufactures’ products are beyond the control of Nufarm Australia Limited, all mixtures
should be tested prior to mixing commercial quantities.
Application
DO NOT use rain-drop nozzles as coverage of weeds may not be adequate.
Boom Sprayer: Calibrate the sprayer before use to ensure that the correct application
rate is obtained. Check height of boom above the crop to ensure that the spray is evenly
distributed.
Cereals Apply 50 - 150 L of water per hectare. (Note, 200 L/ha may be necessary for
black bindweed control). Use higher water volume (min. 100 L/ha) where the weedPage 4
infestation is heavy, or the crop cover is dense. Complete coverage of weeds is
essential.
Linseed Apply a minimum of 220 L of water per hectare.
Turf Apply a minimum of 500 L of water per hectare.
Aerial Application: Apply a minimum of 30 L of water per hectare. Markers should always
move upwind before aircraft passes overhead. Application by micronaire equipment may
give variable results.
Crop Rotation Recommendations
Nufarm Bromicide MA has no residual activity; however, users should consult the label
of any tank mix partner prior to use. The recommended tank mix with Nufarm Galaxy will
require users to follow plant back and crop rotation instructions from the Nufarm galaxy
label.
Equipment Maintenance
Equipment that has been used to apply this product should not be used for the
application of other materials onto sensitive plants unless it has been cleaned with an
appropriate tank and equipment cleaner or well washed out with a 2% solution of cloudy
ammonia followed by several clean water rinses.
Resistance RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING
Warning: GROUP 4 6 HERBICIDE
Nufarm Bromicide® MA is a member of both the nitriles and the phenoxys groups
of herbicides. Nufarm Bromicide® MA has both the inhibitors of photosynthesis at
photosystem II and disruptors of plant cell growth mode of action. For weed resistance
management Nufarm Bromicide® MA is a Group 4 and Group 6 herbicide. Some
naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Nufarm Bromicide® MA and other Group
4 and Group 6 herbicides may exist through normal genetic variability in any weed
population. The resistant individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if
these herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be controlled by
Nufarm Bromicide® MA or other Group 4 and Group 6 herbicides. Since the occurrence
of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to use, Nufarm Australia Limited accepts no
liability for any losses that may result from the failure of Nufarm Bromicide® MA to
control resistant weeds.
Precautions: Re-entry period
DO NOT enter treated areas until the spray has dried, unless wearing cotton overalls
buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and chemical resistant gloves.
Clothing must be laundered after each day's use.
Protection PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS
Statements: DO NOT apply under weather conditions, or from spraying equipment, that may cause
spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants, crops, cropping lands or pastures.
Avoid spray drift and vapour movement onto susceptible crops such as cotton, tobacco,
tomatoes, vines, lupins, fruit trees and ornamentals.
DO NOT apply by misting machines.
Note: Maximum daily temperatures at or above 20˚C at application, or on days following
treatment, may result in seedling mortality and established plants may be damaged.
PROTECTION OF LIVESTOCK
Grazing Precaution
Sprayed weeds may become more palatable to stock and a higher intake of some
weeds may result in stock poisoning and death from causes such as nitrate poisoning.
Care should be taken especially where capeweed, Paterson’s curse and variegated
thistles predominate in the pasture. Avoid grazing with young or breeding stock. DO
NOT graze horses or pigs on Paterson’s curse. If in doubt, contact your nearest
Department of Agriculture.
PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT
Dangerous to fish. DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or watercourses with the
chemical or used containers.Page 5
Storage and This product must be stored in a locked room or place away from children, animals,
Disposal: food, feedstuffs, seed and fertilisers. Store in the closed, original container in a cool,
well-ventilated area. DO NOT store for
prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
Non-refillable containers
Triple-rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. DO NOT dispose of
undiluted chemicals on site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to
recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and
deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility. If an approved
waste management facility is not available, bury the empty packaging 500 mm below
the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose, clear of
waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots, in compliance with relevant local, state
or territory government regulations.
DO NOT burn empty containers or product.
Returnable containers
Empty contents fully into application equipment. Close all valves and return to point of
supply for refill or storage.
Safety SAFETY DIRECTIONS
Directions: Harmful if swallowed. Harmful if inhaled. Will irritate the eyes. May irritate the skin. Avoid
contact with eyes and skin. DO NOT inhale spray mist.
When opening the container, preparing the spray and using the prepared spray, except if
applying by aerial spraying equipment, wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and
wrist, elbow-length chemical resistant gloves, face shield or goggles and disposable
mist face mask covering mouth and nose.
In addition, when opening the container, preparing the spray and if applying by aerial
spraying equipment wear cotton overalls, over normal clothing, buttoned to the neck and
wrist, half facepiece respirator with organic vapour/gas cartridge or canister.
In addition, if applying by low pressure hand wand wear cotton overalls, over normal
clothing, buttoned to the neck and wrist.
If product or spray in eyes, wash it out immediately with water. Wash hands after use.
After each day’s use, wash gloves, respirator (if rubber, wash with detergent and warm
water), face shield or goggles and contaminated clothing.
