growing edible produce for export, please check with your exporter for the latest information
on MRLs and import tolerances before using LINUREX® FLOWABLE.
General Instructions: This section contains file attachment.
Resistance Warning: RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING
LINUREX® FLOWABLE is a member of the Urea-group of herbicides. This product has the
photosynthesis inhibitor mode of action.
For weed resistance management LINUREX® FLOWABLE is a Group 5 Herbicide. Some
naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant to Linuron and other Group 5 herbicides may
exist through normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant individuals
can eventually dominate the weed population if these herbicides are used repeatedly.
These resistant weeds will not be controlled by LINUREX® FLOWABLE or other Group 5
herbicides.
However, resistance should not be assumed without first viewing the method of application,
the coverage and the timing of application.
Resistance to Linuron cannot be predicted and may occur at any time. It is not due to a
fault in the product and Adama Australia accepts no liability for any losses that may result
from the failure of LINUREX® FLOWABLE to control resistant weeds.Page 3
Precautions:
Protections: PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS
DO NOT plant susceptible crops (e.g. crucifers, lettuce) immediately following crops treated
with LINUREX® FLOWABLE.
Avoid overspraying, particularly on headlands or when turning.
DO NOT apply on light soils if heavy rain is likely within 24 hours of spraying as weed
control may be reduced or some crop damage may occur. This is of particular importance
with rates above 1 Litre and on soybeans.
DO NOT use in or near channels or drains where roots of desirable plants may extend
PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND ENVIRONMENT
DO NOT contaminate streams, rivers or watercourses with the chemical or used containers.
Storage and Keep out of reach of children.
Disposal: Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store for
prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Triple-rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings
to spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on site. If recycling, replace cap and
return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break,
crush or puncture and deliver empty packaging to an approved waste management facility.
If an approved waste management facility is not available, bury the empty packaging 500
mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear
of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots, in compliance with relevant local, state
or territory government regulations. Do not burn empty containers or product.
drumMUSTER Containers
This container can be recycled if it is clean, dry, free of visible residues and has the
drumMUSTER logo visible. Triple-rinse container for disposal. Dispose of rinsate by adding
it to the spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemical on site. Wash outside of the
container and the cap. Store cleaned container in a sheltered place with cap removed. It
will then be acceptable for recycling at any drumMUSTER collection or similar container
management program site. The cap should not be replaced, but may be taken separately.
Safety Directions: May irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
DO NOT inhale vapour or spray mist. If product on skin, immediately wash area with soap
and water. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face
thoroughly with soap and water.
First Aid Instructions: First aid is not generally required. If in doubt, contact a Poisons Information Centre
(Phone Australia 13 11 26) or a doctor.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
LINUREX® FLOWABLE Herbicide contains 450 g/L Linuron. LINUREX® FLOWABLE can be applied pre- or post-
emergence to control certain annual grasses, broadleaved weeds and some seedling perennial weeds in cereals,
potatoes, carrots, parsnips, coriander, onions, leeks, shallots, spring onions, soybeans, maize, sweet corn, celery,
celeriac and pyrethrum.
Prior to using LINUREX® FLOWABLE, refer to the Soil Texture Classification section for guidance on characterisation
of soil types.
LINUREX® FLOWABLE is a selective systemic herbicide, absorbed principally by the roots but also by the foliage, with
translocation primarily acropetally in the xylem. Read the Directions for Use before using this product. Shake well before
opening.
For best results, apply to well cultivated, weed-free soil which is free of trash and clods. DO NOT cultivate after
application of the product as weed control may be reduced and/or crop injury may result.
APPLICATION
Shake well before use. Fill the spray tank with water to three quarters of the required volume, then pour LINUREX ®
FLOWABLE into the tank with the agitation system running. Top up to required volume with water while still agitating. If
combining with diclofop-methyl 375 g/L EC, add LINUREX® FLOWABLE last. Ensure good agitation to give continuous
suspension of LINUREX® FLOWABLE. After use flush out system with clean water and wash nozzles and filters.
THE MATERIAL MUST BE KEPT IN SUSPENSION AT ALL TIMES BY CONTINUOUS AGITATION AS IT IS DIFFICULT
TO RE-SUSPEND AND MAY LOSE EFFECTIVENESS.
Boom sprays:
Use approximately 80 L - 110 L water per hectare (ha).
Aerial Application
Use a minimum of 20 L/ha under optimum conditions otherwise a minimum of 30 L/ha. DO NOT exaggerate swath
width.
Soil Texture Classification
The use of LINUREX® FLOWABLE on light or sandy soils may cause crop damage. The following guidelines should be
observed for maintaining crop safety when using LINUREX® FLOWABLE:
1. Prior to using LINUREX® FLOWABLE, soil tests should be conducted (if not already available) on all paddocks
that are planned to be treated.
2. Do not apply LINUREX® FLOWABLE if heavy rains are expected after application.
3. Do not apply pre-emergence in maize or sweet corn on light sandy soils low in clay or organic matter.
4. To minimise the risk of crop damage follow the general guidelines regarding light, medium and heavy soils as
per the table below.
Category Common soil description Clay content %
Light soils e.g. sands, loamy sand, light sandy loam, light silty loams < 15%
Medium soils e.g. sandy loam, silty loam, sandy clay loam, loam 15-33%
Heavy soils e.g. heavy loams, clay loams, clays, dark earths > 33%
Soils with low organic carbon (O.C.) and cation exchange capacity (C.E.C.) have a reduced capacity to adsorb linuron
in the soil, which may result in the herbicide leaching past the weed root zone into the crop root zone. Crop root uptake
of LINUREX® FLOWABLE may result in unacceptable levels of phytotoxicity. To minimise the risk of crop root uptake,
LINUREX® FLOWABLE is not recommended for use on light or sandy soils. Carefully check the specific guidelines and
constraints with respect to the C.E.C., O.C. and clay content. These values should be determined by thorough soil
analysis prior to using LINUREX® FLOWABLE. Refer to your local reseller or ADAMA representative to assist you with
interpretation of your soil analysis results.
Spray Equipment Hygiene
Before and after spraying LINUREX® FLOWABLE, spray equipment including tanks, nozzles, filters and spray lines
should be cleaned thoroughly with a commercially available tank and equipment cleaner such as All Clear † DS.
COMPATIBILITY
DO NOT add wetting agent, crop oils or surfactants except where recommended in the Critical Comments.
